The 9303rd tree has been planted as part of the Debrecen 2030 forest protection programme. The saplings were planted alongside the cycle path running along the section of the main road 35 between Debrecen and Józsa.
On the 8th of December 2023 – Friday – forty-four native silver linden trees were planted along the cycle path. Deputy Mayor of Debrecen Ákos Balázs thanked the staff of Dekert Ltd., the contractor of the planting programme, for their year-long dedication to the success of the project.
Thanks to the comprehensive afforestation programme, the trees now planted will produce enough oxygen for around eighty thousand people in Debrecen and will be able to offset the impact of sixteen thousand cars on the climate.
