A successful tender has been launched by the university for the construction of a 32-space car park on the DEAC Sports Campus.
The contract was won by Épít-Takarít 2004 Bt., which undertook the work for a gross price of HUF 39.5 million.
According to the tender documents, the University of Debrecen has made significant improvements to the Dóczy Street sports campus in recent years, one of the largest of which, the extension of the DEAC stadium building, has been completed. The site is currently hosting many weekday and weekend sports events, and will also host major international events in the future. The parking capacity on the site is not sufficient to cope with the multiplication of events, with several matches taking place at the same time. To ensure the continued use of the sports complex and the smooth running of competitive events, it is necessary to expand the parking areas.
The planned car parks will be connected to the road by paving the existing gateway on Móricz Zsigmond Boulevard.
The winning company will have two months to complete the work.
