“Taking into account customer needs, most Spar and Interspar stores will be open until 12:00 p.m. on the 24th of December, but some stores operating in shopping centers may have exceptions,” the company informed the Hungarian Telegraph Office. Between the 20th and the 23rd of December, Interspar hypermarkets will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., but there may be exceptions for stores operating in shopping centers.
Some Spar supermarkets will welcome customers with extended opening hours on the 21st and the 22nd of December.
Between the two holidays, shops will be open as usual, with supermarkets open until at least 2:00 p.m., on the 31st of December and most Interspar hypermarkets will be open until 4:00 p.m.
“Tesco stores will also be open until 12:00 p.m. on the 24th of December, as experience in recent years has shown that shoppers want the option of “last minute” shopping,” they stated. On the other days of the festive period, shoppers will be welcome during normal opening hours. On the 31st of December, Tesco stores will close at 6:00 p.m.
Aldi imfomed that its stores would be open until 12:00 p.m. on the 24th of December, taking into account the needs of customers and the interests of the company’s staff. On the 31st of December, Aldi stores will remain open until 4:00 p.m.
“Lidl will not open its stores on the 24th of December this year either, the company’s aim is to allow all its employees to prepare for the holiday in peace and to spend it with their loved ones,” the company informed the Hungarian Telegraph Office. On the 23rd of December, however, they will have extended opening hours for shoppers across the country. During the period between the two holidays, Lidl stores will operate with their usual opening hours, staying open until 4:00 p.m. on the 31st of December.
