Primary school children were introduced to parasports “Move, Debrecen!” school programme

The 22nd of  February is the Hungarian Para Sports Day, which was the occasion for this special event.

“Every year on the 22nd of February we celebrate our para-sportsmen and women, as this day is the Hungarian Para-Sport Day, ” Deputy Mayor Diána Széles said in her Facebook post about the event.

Pupils from the Benedek Elek, Árpád Vezér and Epreskert Primary Schools were introduced to parasports today during a lesson of the “Move, Debrecen!” Movement’s school programme.

Under the guidance of the coordinator, the children carried out activities where they experienced the limitations of movement for people with disabilities, and how to provide assistance based on unconditional trust.
