From the 1st of April, 2024 local passenger transport services by bus and fixed-route (tram, trolleybus) timetables will become free for children and students between the ages of 6 and 14 who have a kindergarten or student status in public education institutions operating in Debrecen.
The Municipality of the City of Debrecen hereby informs the travelling public that children and students who hold a Junior Debrecen City Card or a Debrecen City Card and thus become entitled to free public transport on the routes of DKV PLC can also use the service between the Gáspár György Kert and Debrecen free of charge.
In order to validate the entitlement, all you have to do is enter the data in the table at the bus driver’s desk in accordance with the usual monthly season ticket purchase practice.
More than 13,000,000 people have so far redeemed the Junior Debrecen City Card and registration is ongoing.
