The kindergartners and pupils of Bárczi Gusztáv Unified Methodological Institute for Special Education, Kindergarten, Primary School, Skills Development School and Dormitory of Debrecen welcomed Santa Claus with singing, poems and gift drawings.
On the 3rd of December, a party was held in the school’s gymnasium, which had been decorated for a festive atmosphere. The Santa Claus celebrations were made even more special by Sándor Pántya and Sándorné Pántya, owners of Bazár Parking 2000 Kft. They privately donated 323 Santa packages to each of the institution’s kindergarten and schoolchildren. The couple has traditionally supported the school for many years.
Accompanied by his elves, Santa Claus himself also appeared. Interestingly enough, he spoke to the children in the voice of László Türk, the director of the Debrecen School District Centre, and then handed them the presents.
After saying goodbye to the children, László Türk pointed out that during the period of waiting for Santa Claus, on this day – World Day of Persons with Disabilities – where else could such a celebration be held, where else could the gift-giving be started, but here. This week, Santa Claus will be visiting all the schools in the district and rewarding the children for their good deeds and academic achievements.
Deputy Mayor Diána Széles thanked the institution’s staff for their dedication to an excellent community. They assured them that they would always have the support of the city government in this work. She said this was another sign of the “Caring city of Debrecen”, where citizens can always unite for good causes.
