A good atmosphere and folk flavours awaited visitors on Saturday, 7th of October 2023, in the village of Hortobágy.
A cooking competition and a colt show were also available to visitors to Hortobágy on Saturday.
The 8th Hungarian “Szürke-barátok” meeting also featured folk games, a children’s show and many other entertaining activities. Sándor Bodó, Member of Parliament, said: “There is always a reason to meet in Hortobágy”. “This is the community that can build on Hortobágy values and the Hortobágy past.
The values of nature are within reach here; this is a special gift and opportunity”, he pointed out. At the event, Ádám Jakab, Mayor of Hortobágy, welcomed the mayors and deputy mayors of several municipalities, including István Puskás, Deputy Mayor of Debrecen, who were also present. A team from the Municipality of Debrecen also took part in the cooking competition.
