The Debrecen Business Service Centers (DBSC) Round Table has been successfully working with secondary education institutions in the city and the region for several years. During the autumn career guidance period, students have the opportunity to meet experts from the sector, where they are able to gain insight into the world of BSCs (Business Service Centres) through interactive presentations by local representatives of the business service sector and learn about the career opportunities offered by the member companies (4IG, BT, Diehl, DT-ITS, Flowserve, NI (part of Emerson) and Transcosmos.
Students could not only attend presentations, but also take part in the so-called “Career Tour” programme. In addition to the traditional lectures, this programme also offers students company visits, where they can gain insights into the workplace environment, corporate culture and learn about the business services sector through real-life examples.
During the company visits, participants not only had a look behind the scenes, but also heard interesting and instructive stories from professionals working at the companies, who showed through their life stories how to build a successful career in the region.
This year, the career orientation opportunities were also joined by students
from the school’s DBSC Ambassador Mentor Program, who were able to show their fellow students from their own perspective and experiences why the sector is a good choice for young people who speak languages.
For the DBSC Roundtable, such programs not only address talented young people, but also support the economic development of the region.
On Monday, as part of the cooperation with the University of Debrecen, 53 high school students participated in a career day organised jointly with the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Debrecen, where they were introduced to the opportunities offered by the university, and then, with the help of the DBSC Round Table staff, they had the opportunity to improve their knowledge in Italian and German language workshops, as well as to attend career guidance lectures and company visits.
The clear message of the programme is that the region is a place to learn and work, as the companies of the Debrecen BSC Round Table offer a wide range of career options for those who are open to the opportunities offered by the international business world.
