The Fórum II could be built on the other side of Csapó Street, with a pedestrian bridge connecting the original Fórum shopping centre.

A Dexium Ingatlanfejlesztő Kft. and  Fórum Bevásárlóközpont Zrt.  approached the Municipality of Debrecen with an offer to exchange the property for expansion.

The primary target of the expansion is the properties at Csapó Street No. 21-27, owned by the municipality and Cívis Ház Zrt. It also includes the Roncsbár, parts of which are of considerable architectural value and, therefore, is a protected building.

“The area behind the former flower market is very tight, so the development could be located on the other side of Csapó Street,” Debrecen Mayor László Papp explained. He also spoke about the protection of Roncsbár, which the developer should consider.

“I can see a solution,” the mayor said, “that could help relocate this iconic pub to another prominent location in the city,” he said, adding that they would have to discuss it with the owners.

“The mayor pointed out that the market and competition will encourage innovation, change if necessary,” responding to concerns raised by some MPs. He noted that Debrecen has always done its part to help small and medium-sized enterprises. Small businesses even received a rent discount from the city during difficult times.
