The flower floats for the Debrecen Flower Carnival are being prepared

In a month, the Debrecen Flower Carnival will be organised again.

Sculptors and designers are already working diligently on some of the compositions of the flower floats, while others are working on assembling the supporting iron structures.

“The trend is actually live flowers, dry flowers, fairy-tale figures, cars. The carnival will be varied,” pointed out flower cart manufacturer Tamás Gulyás.

Due to the uniqueness of the flower floats, the designers face new challenges every year during the assembly. Dry flowers will be the first to be added to the creations, and live flowers will, of course, only be used to decorate the figures of the carriages rolling through the city in the last moments before the carnival.

“During the spring, the blueprints and the concepts were put together, so now the active work follows. The live flowers have been ordered; they will obviously be put on the cars at the last moment,” Réka Mészáros, managing director of Főnix Rendezvényszervező, stressed,

The Debrecen Flower Carnival week begins on the 14th of August. In addition to the classic programs, the organisers are also preparing new ones.
