The Holocaust 80 – Debrecen programme series was launched with an international conference on Holocaust education in cooperation with the University of Debrecen and the Jewish Community of Debrecen.
Teachers and students from more than 150 educational institutions in the region listened to lectures mainly on the possibilities of Holocaust education.
Deputy Mayor István Puskás, drew attention to the need to preserve and protect peace.
