Mayor László Papp announced on his Facebook page that preparations for Advent had begun in the city, and the construction of the now traditional ice rink on Kossuth Square had started.
The city will again be lit at Advent, and preparations are underway. Following the tradition of previous years, Kossuth Square, Piac Street, Hal köz, and St. Anna Street, for example, will be lit up with festive decorations. This year, for the first time, Zamenhof Street will also be decorated. The lights will be switched on at the first Advent candle lighting and will decorate the streets of the city until Epiphany.
The festive decorations will include string lights, candelabra ornaments, and other motifs strung on the trellis and placed on the tree’s canopy.
This year’s Advent Fair will be open from the 29th of November to the 23rd of December.
