After renovating the Csokonai Theatre, members of the University of Debrecen Professors’ Club could now visit the renewed Old Town Hall.
The most striking architectural monument of Debrecen, the Town Hall, was the subject of a talk by Mayor László Papp. Since its construction, the building has not been reconstructed on a scale comparable to this one. The club members admired the particular model of Debrecen at the entrance and the Mayor’s Reference Library.
László Papp said that these meetings are an essential source of ideas. “It is always a great honour to meet the professors. I can hear excellent ideas and suggestions, and of course, I can give them information about the city’s present and future, ” the mayor said.
