From the 1st of September, trolleybuses and buses will run more frequently and new services will be launched by local transport company DKV Zrt.

The 20E express service will serve the Northwestern Economic Zone, the 37A Külső-Vámospércsi Road and the 52E the university dormitories.

The Northwestern Economic Zone has so far only seen basic construction work, but is now starting to come to life as more and more BMW employees are moving to the area, and parts of the buildings have already been completed. It needs to be serviced. At the same time, the company will be increasing the frequency of bus and trolleybus services. The departure times of several lines will be changed. The changes will be made based on passenger receipts, passenger counting equipment measurements and driver comments.

“On all the buses equipped with passenger counting devices – about one third of the vehicles – on nearly 20 lines, we measured about 153,000 trips, analysed and measured travel habits, and based on these we made these decisions,” CEO of DKV Zrt. Szabolcs Tóth. Experience shows that more and more people are using public transport. Pass sales have increased by 7.4 percent, while the number of tickets sold has risen by more than eight percent in a year.
