The craft workshops of the House of Traditions offer a variety of activities, where visitors can get to know the natural materials of the crafts, original and reimagined craft techniques. The themes of the activities are designed to give both adults and children the joy of creating.
The handicraft workshops will be held on the 22nd of November 2024 on behalf of the House of Traditions by the Folk Art Association of Debrecen and Hajdú-Bihar County and the Folk Art Association of Bihar.
During the day, visitors will have the opportunity to try out six folk craft techniques closely related to Debrecen and the various ethnographic regions of the county. These include bead weaving, gingerbread making and decorating, candle making, straw weaving, filter embroidery and traditional clothes (made of sheep wool) decoration making.
