For the fourth time, Debrecen will host the Ugly Sweater Run where charity goes hand in hand with the joy of movement and a great atmosphere. Participants will run 3.5 km and 1 km through the beautiful Advent Fair downtown Debrecen.
All participants have to do is get out their cutest or funniest Christmas sweater, hat, scarf and bring their donations.
The aim of the charity run is to promote community sport and to make Christmas brighter for disadvantaged families and children in Debrecen and its surrounding area. Donations of fruit, non-perishable food with a minimum six-month expiry date and chocolate can be made at the donation point of the Ugly Sweater Run Baltazár Dezső Square on the 7th of December between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. The donations will be distributed to the families through the staff of the Debrecen Charity Board.

Route for the 1 km run: Baltazár Dezső tér – Hunyadi utca – Kálvin tér – Kossuth tér – Múzeum utca – Déri tér – Baltazár Dezső tér
Registration:
- pre-registration online by Thursday 5 December (4:00 p.m.) at this link
- on-site registration at the starting point (Debrecen, Baltazár Dezső Square) on 7 December between 10:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.
- entries are accepted until 10:45 am.
Conditions of participation:
- free event but registration required,
- advance online registration or on-site registration,
- There is no age limit, but adult supervision required for entrants under 16 years of age,
- Christmas sweater, comfortable, sporty clothing,
- acceptance of and compliance with the event rules,
- everyone participates in the event at their own risk,
- organisers reserve the right to make changes at any time and in any way.
