Traditionally, on the last weekend in January birds will be the main attraction at Debrecen Zoo to which visitors are welcome on both days.

25 January (Saturday)
All-day activities (9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.):
– Which species of bird do we have in mind? – Free of charge with a pick-up sheet at the cash desk
– Put yourself in the shoes of an ethologist – Observe the behaviour of the Zoo’s birds with a free exercise sheet.
Lectures and guided tours:
9:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. – How to create a bird-friendly garden (Bird-friendly garden)
10:45 a.m. – Introducing the birds of the African spring
11:20 a.m. – Raven feeding
2:15 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. – Introducing the Zoo’s feathered friends: guided tour from the main entrance
2:30 p.m. – Penguin demonstration

(10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.):
– Interactive craft activities (Gibbon House)
– Interactive owl sputum testing (Zoo cave)
– Feathers and eggs: science education session (Zoo cave)
26 January (Sunday)
