The operator of Debrecen airport has since announced on its Facebook page that Antalya in Turkey and Monastir in Tunisia will also be available with Kartago Tours.

From the 6th of June, flights to the Turkish Riviera will operate once a week on Fridays, while flights to Tunisia in Africa will operate once a week on Tuesdays from the 3rd of June.

This means that in just over a month, six new flights will be operating from Debrecen International Airport.

The Hungarian subsidiary of the Czech Smartwings Group has added two new destinations from Debrecen to its 2025 summer schedule.

Between the beginning of June and the end of September, there will be one flight a week from Debrecen to Barcelona and one to Tirana.

The airline’s Boeing 737-800 aircraft will fly to the Spanish city on Thursdays and to the Albanian capital on Mondays, as planned.

There was a flight to Barcelona from Debrecen, operated by Wizz Air for a few years, but there has never been a scheduled flight to Tirana from Debrecen.

Israel’s Israir also announced its plans to launch a Debrecen-Tel Aviv flight at the end of April, which was also a popular Wizz Air flight before the 2023 Hamas terror attack on Israel.
