Debrecen’s Children’s Rehabilitation Outpatient Service turns 40 years old

To commemorate the 40th anniversary, the Department of Paediatric Rehabilitation, Child Psychology, and Psychosomatics of the Department of Paediatrics organized a meeting on the 11th of October, 2024.

Zoltán Szabó, President of the Clinical Centre of the University of Debrecen, highlighted that the specialists help hundreds of children to recover every month.

The integration process of the University of Debrecen Clinical Centre has also brought significant development in the field of paediatric rehabilitation. Children who are born at the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic and need rehabilitation receive the targeted treatment that is appropriate and necessary for their condition from the very first moment at the Children’s Clinic, the President stressed.

At the event, Deputy Mayor of Debrecen Diána Széles also presented the municipality with a commemorative plaque thanking it for the high quality of patient care. As she stressed in her speech, a family-centred approach and creating opportunities, in addition to infrastructure improvements, are essential for successful paediatric care.
