DKV Debrecen Public Transport Company surpassed the five-time marketing diamond recognition it received last year. On the 5th of March, at the Marketing Diamond Awards ceremony held in Etele Plaza, the company was awarded six marketing diamonds. The awards were received by the company in recognition of its outstanding marketing and communication activities in 2024.

In addition to the marketing diamonds, DKV PLC is ranked second on the 2024 client list and third on the 2022-2024 aggregate client list, behind a well-known company such as Billingo Technologies PLC.

The Marketing Diamond Awards aim to showcase and recognise high quality marketing activities on a smaller budget. This year, DKV PLC was again nominated in several categories, and six of the company’s entries were awarded diamond awards by a jury of around 30 experts.

Three entries won in the category of events and event-based activities. 

The entry “We Write A History and a Future – DKV Open Day Behings the Scenes” summarised the marketing activities of DKV Day, organised to celebrate the company’s 140th anniversary. During the Open Day, visitors were given a glimpse into the daily life of the company, learned the secrets of the assembly hall, took a historical tour, rode on retro trains and tested their skills in the exhibitors’ all-day quizzes.

The projects titled “A Future Building on the Past, 140 Years of Relics in One Place” and “140 Years, 140 Km Challenge, DKV on the Move” are reports of activities closely related to the previous programme element.

The former is a summary of the historical exhibition held by the DKV Transportation History Memorial Room Forum in Debrecen, while the latter is a detailed account of a high-level sports challenge announced among the company’s employees that lasted for months.

In the customer experience programmes category, the entries “Santa Claus on the Deck, or a Tram Instead of a Sleigh” and “Theatre is the Whole Tram! Children’s Day in Wonderland” were recognised. On the Children’s Day tram organised jointly with the Csokonai National Theatre, families could travel on an enchanted nostalgia tram, while the actors performed excerpts from the play Alice in Wonderland. On Santa Claus Day, a tram dressed as Santa brought smiles to the faces of young and old.

In the social media and influencer marketing solutions category, the company’s application “Journey to 15k, This is How We Tripled in 8 Months” also earned a diamond. In 8 months, the Communications department increased the follower base of DKV PLC official Facebook page from four thousand to sixteen thousand.

With the recognitions it has just received, DKV PLC is now the holder of 16 marketing diamond awards.
