This year, MODEM – Centre for Modern and Contemporary Art celebrates its 18th birthday from the 26th to 28th of September, the center welcomes everyone to this special occasion.
The 18th Birthday Celebration event offers:
– varied programmes available in 6 locations
– 6 hours of concerts to liven up the atmosphere
– 2500 m² of exhibition space to immerse in the world of contemporary art
– 7 productions guaranteed to make the celebration unforgettable

26 September
4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Launch of the new issue of the literary and cultural studies journal Studia Litteraria, entitled “Replays” (lobby)
5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Guided tour of the exhibition ” Mária Berhidi:Remembering the present” by curator Szabolcs Süli-Zakar (2nd floor)
6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. I Opening of exhibition “Institutional Fictions: the possibilities of an art faculty in Debrecen” (Project Space)
27 September
