On Thursday, the 10th of October, from 5:30 p.m., the Magnitude Astronomy Association will hold an astronomy programme with projections and a small planetarium demonstration at DEMKI Újkerti Community House (Debrecen, 17 Jerikó Street).
After the indoor show, if the sky is clear, after dark, the event will close with an outdoor telescope and laser show. The outdoor demonstration will take place on the top of the nearby Újkerti sledge hill, which is most easily accessible by tram No 2. The astronomy programme is free of charge.
“As an interesting feature of the event, the recently appeared comet will be discussed at the event, in which part of the sky and at what time of day it will be possible to observe it in Hungary, hopefully it will be visible even to the naked eye, but of course it will look even more exciting with a smaller telescope,” Astronomer and Publicist of the Magnitude Astronomy Association Endre Szoboszlai said in his briefing.
