Brass and percussion competition in Debrecen

Future musicians compete in a competition organised by the University’s Faculty of Music.

The 45th Brass and Percussion Assembly and Competition will be held between the 23rd  and the 25th of  March in Debrecen, organised by the Department of Brass and Percussion of the University of Music Debrecen and the Conservatory Foundation.

The competition is open to Hungarian and international students of trumpet, horn, trombone, tuba, percussion, master’s degree courses in teacher training, master’s degree courses in teaching, and 12th- and 13th-grade students of vocational high schools of music and art, as well as vocational students.

Within the event, the brass competition will take place on the 23rd and the 24th of  March and the percussion competition on the 24th and the 25th of  March at the University of Debrecen’s Faculty of Music.

All rounds are open to the public. The jury will award first, second, third and special prizes, and the winners of each category will perform at a gala concert before the awards ceremony.
