On 1 June, Apollo Cinema will screen two films chosen from the programme of the “Imázsia” Chinese Film Week in Budapest. The aim of the event in Debrecen is the same as in the capital: to present a selection of Chinese films to the local audience and Chinese viewers living in Hungary as well.
The programme of the “Imázsia” Chinese Film Festival in Debrecen is organised by OTT-HOME International Meeting Point, co-organised by Imázsia Nonprofit Ltd. and professionally supported by the Confucius Institute of the University of Debrecen.

The screenings will take place at the Apollo Cinema in Debrecen on 1 June:
At 2:00 p.m. “The Successor” will be screened with English and Hungarian subtitles. It was a blockbuster in China during the summer of 2024.
About the film:
The parents decide to hide their wealth from their child, so they build a complicated fake reality for him, where he has to learn how to live on little money. The film is humorous, even satirical, reflecting on the burning issue of social inequality.

At 6:00 p.m., the film “Off the stage” will be shown with Hungarian and Chinese subtitles.
