Local services
The Church Backyard Market (Egyháztáji Vásár) will be organised, one week earlier as usual, on the 10th of February. At the market visitors can buy products from local farmers and artisans at favourable prices in the heart of the city centre. The organisers of the event are Debrecen Great Church Congregation and Hajdúság Pantry (Hajdúság Éléskamrája).
In 2024 the lent is from Ash Wednesday, the 14th of February to Holy Saturday, the 30th of March. Due to this, in order to hold the pig sticking feast too, organisers decided to welcome everyone on the 2nd Saturday of the month with many delicacies.
