Representatives from more than twenty departments will welcome children, who will be able to discover their hidden talents. Among the featured sports will be football, basketball, ice hockey, volleyball, handball, American football, floorball and fencing at the DEAC (abbreviation for University of Debrecen Athletics Club) Family Day on the 1st of May.
In addition, visitors can get acquainted with the darts, walking football, equestrian, shotokan karate, cheerleaders, rugby, table tennis, majorette, tennis, gymnastics, petanque, chess and esports departments.
Young people can try out sports equipment, get to know the basics through playful challenges, and if they feel like they’ve found the right one, they can even apply right away.
There will be lots of fun in the bouncy castle, creative craft corner, face painting and glitter tattoos are also available.
The organisers are also preparing spectacular shows, with cheerleaders, majorette and shotokan karate athletes performing, and surprises can also be expected.
The event is free to attend, and anyone can try their hand at it from 9-00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.
This year, DEAC is joining the “Move TOGETHER Debrecen!” and the national Athlete Nation programmes.
