On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Holocaust, the German Cultural Forum in Debrecen is launching a long-term awareness-raising programme, the Éva Fahidi Dialogue Programme. The programme’s name is linked to Éva Fahidi, a Holocaust survivor from Debrecen and Honorary Citizen of the City of Debrecen. The programme will start on the evening of the 15th of April with a thematic film, titled The Euphoria of Existence (2019), screening followed by a discussion. The aim of the event and the programme is to convey the message and legacy of Éva Fahidi “Never hate again!”

After the screening, there will be an opportunity for a personal discussion with Andor Andrási, Éva’s partner and Holocaust survivor.
