Continuing and expanding the tradition started last year, La Dolce Vita Mediterranean Weekend will be held again on the 11th and the 12th of May, bringing the Mediterranean experience to the trees of the Great Forest with the park’s rich citrus and ivy collection, thematic programmes and authentic performers. On both days visitors can admire and with a quiz can learn about the outstanding citrus and ivy collection of the Zoo.
The culture of Italy will be brought to life with a bumper-car race, Italian coffee, twisted ice cream, lemonade and freshly baked pizza at the gastro stalls, furthermore retro posters, old Italian cars, Vespa bikes, and a Bambino cave for the little ones awaiting visitors.
On Saturday the jurying and announcement of the results of the cake and pastry competition will take place. The star guest of the event is Gianni Annoni, who will also meet the public, but Zoo Podcast will also introduce you to the biggest lemon producer in Hungary, and then take you to the dolce vita of the city of Civitavecchia, with the help of Italians living in Debrecen.
Sunday will feature evergreen Italian hits with Luca Balduccio and an entertaining retelling of the story of Romeo and Juliet.
Ticket prices:
The daytime activities of the event are free of charge with a 2500 HUF amusement park ticket, a 5800 HUF magic wristband for unlimited use of amusement park machines or a normal-price zoo ticket, and the Saturday dance evening is free of charge with a 2500 HUF ticket per person.
