On the 7th of February, Debrecen will host three exciting programmes for those who want to dig deeper into the relationship between man, machine, technology and art.
Programmes:
Conference: Human 2.0, The Aesthetics of Transhumanism
Date: 7 February from 9.30 a.m.
Location: MODEM
The event will focus on the abstract and material aspects of transhumanism, with special emphasis on its aesthetic and cultural dimensions.
The conference will be the perfect opportunity for experts, researchers, artists and interested parties to explore and discuss the opportunities and threats offered by technology, and to examine how it affects human culture and social structures in times of global change.
Detailed programme can be found about the conference here.
Workshop with Polygonia
Date: 7 February
Gate opening: 5:00 p.m.
Start: 6:00 p.m.
End: 8:00 p.m.
Location: Telecom Kraft Studio
One of the highlights of the program series is definitely the guest appearance of the internationally renowned DJ/Producer Polygonia at the Nagyerdei Víztorony, who will also be holding a Producer Workshop when she visits us to bring those interested in the topic closer to this world. During the 2 hours, the speaker will talk about music writing processes, tricks, techniques, and his experiences.
Enthusiasts who would like to get a little familiar with music making, get inspired, or just spend a few hours in a creative environment, are welcome to join the free workshop.
Polygonia Concert
Date: 7 February, 10:00 p.m. – 5.00 a.m.
Venue: Nagyerdei Water Tower
The 2025 season starts with a make-up program at the Nagyerdei Water Tower!
On the 7th of February (Friday) Polygonia will be coming to Debrecen straight from Germany! This is not the first time the headliner has been in Hungary, as she was a guest of Technokunst in 2024 at the Kolorádó Festival and in 2023 at Turbina. The DI/Producer masterfully combines the tribal-deep-hypnotic techno line with her characteristic organic elements, and her performance is a real treat in the Eastern region. Technokunst will be backed by Mode and Valens, while the local “forces” will be represented by Dirty Ice and Thomas Borza.
