Local services
The Night of Museums awaits visitors in Debrecen at several locations and with countless programs this year. On 21 June, public collections, museums and exhibition spaces will open their doors to visitors.
The Night of Museums is the oldest programme in Debrecen’s cultural life, which populates the historic city centre in a network manner.
The programmes will include guided tours, concerts, crafts, costume and weapon demonstrations, children will be treated to a folk playground and museum educational games, and an adventure game with the collaboration of six institutions.
Ticket prices:
Patron ticket HUF 10000, adult HUF 3000, student and pensioner HUF 1500 , family (2 adults + children under 14) HUF 5000. Box office opening: 21 June, 6:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online and at the locations.
TOWN HALL WALK
Mayor László Papp will guide visitors through the beautified Old City Hall from 4:00 p.m.. During the tour, participants can hear many interesting facts about the history of the building and its recent modernisation, but they can also learn where Lajos Kossuth and Franz Joseph once lived, and where the Holy Crown was kept.

4.00 p.m and 6.00 p.m. Let’s play puppet theatre! – For one night, the Vojtina Puppet Warehouse moves into the Theatre Hall on Kálvin Square. Get up close and personal with over 200 iconic characters from the Puppet Theatre’s puppet collection. Puppet techniques and puppet types will be demonstrated, while the puppets will come to life for a short story.

Adventure play for children
A special surprise for children on the Night of Museums! Six institutions have joined forces to create two exciting adventure games. The game is not bound by time or order. To solve the puzzle, children have to visit museums and churches! Recommended age is between 6 and 12.
