During the Botanical Garden tour, visitors can admire the flowers that are currently blooming, wander the paths, most of which were made in the first half of the 20th century, under the leadership of botanist Rezső Soó.
Passing by the statue Mihály Fazekas and Sámuel Diószegi it is relieved how many new plant names were created thanks to the authors of the Hungarian Herbal Book.
For the 45-minute forest walk program suitable clothing is recommended. In case of bad weather, visitors can listen to a lecture on the subject.
The tickets for the Botanical Garden tour can be purchased at Agora Science Center, the ticket is valid for the other programmes of Agora as well.
In addition, at Agora ticket office between October 11 and 14 during opening hours, worksheets prepared by the experts of Agora in Hungarian and English can be picked up for free, with the help of which visitors can explore the 15.5-hectare Botanical Garden of the University of Debrecen in a playful way.
