This year, Hangul Day is celebrated once again, and on this occasion, visitors are welcome to join the Korean Cultural Day programmes organised by the Debrecen Korean Cultural Association, with support from the King Sejong Institute in Debrecen and the Debrecen Summer University on the 12th  of October. An independent salsa and bachata street ball will be held at Kossuth Square in Debrecen on Saturday the 12th of October from 7:00 p.m. to 10:22 p.m., with participants ending the warm evenings with a fun-filled end-of-summer street ball. There will also be dance demonstrations and free dance lessons, among others, attendees can even try kizomba or merengue. On the 18th of October, Debrecen Zoo will host a special event, where a magical multimedia exhibition and light show will open for the first time in a rural city, from 5:00 p.m. At the opening ceremony, Mayor László Papp will officially inaugurate the exhibition and the park's latest renewable energy investment, which will provide a quarter of the non-profit company's electricity consumption for the whole year, thus covering the entire renewable energy needs of the exhibition for half a year. Garden of Lights is a magical space with light installations and projections, transporting visitors to the world of Pinocchio. It's a great family attraction, combining fairy tales, technology, and creativity, creating unforgettable memories and connecting generations. On the 19th  and the 20th of October, one of the largest exhibitions built from LEGO® elements in Hungary, the nearly 100 square metre Mega Brick City, will visit Debrecen and be hosted in Kölcsey Center. Interesting buildings, locations and vehicles to see at the exhibition: a police and a fire department , an amusement park and a "mini world", a harbour and a beach, an airport with 100 planes and helicopters, suburbs, a main square and building sites, 50 trainsets, a motorway with 40 vehicles, skyscrapers, wind turbines, a highway overpass and so on.
