Exhibition of Transylvanian Photos Opens

Partium House Piac Street 81, Debrecen, Hungary

The exhibition has so far been shown in cities in Germany and Hungary, but it will be presented in Transylvania for the first time on the 12th of December in Oradea. The artist offers us the following reflections on her paintings, "In 1992 I visited Transylvania for the first time on a ten-day tour. Transylvania touched me, it went to my heart. Through these photographs I tried to show the spiritual experience that the air of Transylvania, the spirit of Transylvania, radiated to me. The pictures were taken 30 years ago, but perhaps they still say something about the humanity, faith and the endurance of the people living there." Erzsébet Farkasné Ács, born in Bátaszék, has been a photographer since childhood. She gained experience in portrait, documentary, and architectural photography. In 1979, she joined Ybl Miklós Technical College, specialising in ethnographic exploration. She exhibited Transylvanian and Holy Land photographs and published a book about architect Miklós Ybl. Screening of Last Year’s Most Watched Film in Italy

Apollo Cinema Miklós u. 1, Debrecen, Hungary

Paola Cortellesi's work "There is Still Tomorrow" was the most-watched film of the year in Italy last year, ahead of Barbie and Oppenheimer. The heroine of the story is Delia, a mother of three living in Rome in the second half of the 1940s. The city is caught between the hope of liberation and the financial difficulties caused by the war that has just ended. Day after day, Delia does the impossible, working at home and at work, tidying the family nest, looking after the children and elderly family members, putting up with the tantrums of her war-torn husband. A tireless woman, she tries her best to prevent her daughter from marrying, but her efforts seem futile. One day, however, she receives a letter that prompts her to take a surprisingly bold step. Is it possible to make a film about women's equality and even domestic violence that is entertaining, humorous and relatable at the same time? Italian superstar Paola Cortellesi has succeeded so well that Our Tomorrow will Be Tomorrow not only won the Audience Award and the Special Jury Prize at the Rome International Film Festival, but was also the most-watched film of last year in her country.
