The aim of the 1st Debrecen Fair (Hungarian: I. Debreceni Sokadalom) is to organise a fair that pays homage to Debrecen's market history and showcases the best of the city's fair culture, while representing a forward-looking direction, showing how past, present and future can be brought together in a single entity. The event fuses the true traditional fair atmosphere with the modernity of today. In the spirit of preserving tradition, treasures meeting the needs of today's age will be found as well as entertainment for young and old. Visitors are awaited with more than 70 local craftsmen and farmers with excellent handmade products, more than 10 caterers serving traditional Hungarian cuisine from Hungary and beyond the borders, exhibitors, folk games for children, music and inevitable fair atmosphere. Budapest's favourite Terra-Aqua Fair  comes to the Debrecen for the first time on the 12th of October. Organisers are waiting for everyone with welcome to the event halls of the VOKE Cultural Centre, on almost 1000 m2 of space available with 50+ exhibitors, where visitors can meet many exotic animals from South America to New Caledonia. The event is a great programme of activities, including an exotic petting zoo and children's activities in addition to the animals, terraristics and aquaristic equipment on display.
