The exhibition has so far been shown in cities in Germany and Hungary, but it will be presented in Transylvania for the first time on the 12th of December in Oradea. The artist offers us the following reflections on her paintings, "In 1992 I visited Transylvania for the first time on a ten-day tour. Transylvania touched me, it went to my heart. Through these photographs I tried to show the spiritual experience that the air of Transylvania, the spirit of Transylvania, radiated to me. The pictures were taken 30 years ago, but perhaps they still say something about the humanity, faith and the endurance of the people living there." Erzsébet Farkasné Ács, born in Bátaszék, has been a photographer since childhood. She gained experience in portrait, documentary, and architectural photography. In 1979, she joined Ybl Miklós Technical College, specialising in ethnographic exploration. She exhibited Transylvanian and Holy Land photographs and published a book about architect Miklós Ybl. With their motto "If we fill our weekdays with pleasant songs, sounds and moods, then the anticipation of the holiday will be the holiday itself!", organisers would like to help the public to get into the right mood and take them out of their hectic weekdays for 70 minutes on Thursday, the 12th of December at 7.00 p.m. in the Reformed parish of Debrecen-Széchenyi kert, and on Friday, the 13th of December at 7.00 p.m. in the Szent György church in Józsa. Performers of the event are Andrea Losonczki, Patrik Normen Szabó, accompanied on piano by Kinga Tóth and Péter Gyülvészi . The evening is hosted by actor István Papp. A limited number of tickets can be booked by e-mail to office@borostyanprodukcio.hu. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Paola Cortellesi's work "There is Still Tomorrow" was the most-watched film of the year in Italy last year, ahead of Barbie and Oppenheimer. Advent screenings return to the Apollo Cinema in the spirit of festive, spiritual preparation. Every Saturday from the 30th of November to the 21st of December, films will be screened, helping to get into the festive spirit, together with the host congregations, and their pastors who are inviting the audience to a discussion after each screening. Within the series, on the 14th of December, Movie Inception (12) will be screened in English with English subtitles on the 14th of December from 4.00 p.m. Every Saturday of Advent, visitors are welcome to the events, which are free of charge but registration is required. A special, uplifting evening awaits the audience during this year's Advent season, focusing on Jesus, the light of the world and the hope that comes from Him. Participants The event will feature performances by the Martin Brass Brass Ensemble, among others, as well as a specially assembled 80-member choir, who will create an opportunity for celebration with worshipful music. The Word will be preached by Pastor Kristóf Palotás. Program Among the works to be performed at the concert will be classical a cappella choral pieces by Viktor Osváth, Sándor Berkesi and Tom Fettke. Songs of praise, including songs by Béla Pintér, Phil Wickman, Chris Tomlin, Michael Neale, and others, as well as works for wind bands. Visitors who enjoy the market ambiance and a variety of antique objects can return to the Mecca of Antiques on the 15th of December starting at 7 a.m. 25 years ago, the first meeting of antique lovers was held in Debrecen, at a completely different venue back then. This event has been a great success ever since, attracting not only visitors but also a large number of vendors from the eastern part of the country. The Debrecen Antiques Fair offers from thousands of volumes, to precious paintings and porcelain, to LEGO figures, to family silverware or old classic Sokol radios. Besides performing, she is involved in talent education as a music teacher. A cosy atmosphere and stunning festive tunes await the audience at the AMICI Gala Concert on the 16th of December. Hungarian musical artists Attila Dolhai, Otokár Klein, Levente Molnár and Dániel Vadász have appeared on almost every major stage in Hungary and many abroad over the past 20 years, from Debrecen to Győr, from London to Tokyo. All of them have had success after success around the world, but this is the first time that the Debrecen audience can hear them together. The performers are preparing for one of the most atmospheric concerts of the Advent season, full of musical specialities. On this occasion, the doors of the church will be opened to the audience to be filled with wonderful melodies such as "The Angel from Heaven", "Silent Night", "Ave Maria", "White Christmas", "Jingle bells" and "Feliz Navidad". The musical accompaniment will be provided by Adrián Kovács and his Chamber Orchestra, who will further enhance the evening with their unique sound.
