DKV Open House

DKV központ 3 Salétrom utca, Debrecen, Hjadú-Bihar, Hungary

On the open day, in addition to the retro vehicles and nostalgia services, visitors can learn the secrets of the vehicle assembly hall and take a historical tour led by Kálmán Gara. Visitors to the event can also visit the stands of Aquaticum Debrecen, the Hajdú-Bihar County Headquarters, the Bicycle Museum and MVK Zrt. In addition, there will be go-kart rides and an AquaKids party.  The event is free to attend, but please register for the programmes on  DKV 's website. Find more details in the Facebook event. Exhibition of the Works of Árpád Bényi Opens

As one of the programmes of the II Debrecen Art Week, Árpád Bényi's exhibition entitled “I was born in Transylvania” will open, featuring paintings. The exhibition will be opened by literary historian Ferenc Vitéz, who has a personal relationship with the artist, with classical guitaristm Imre Kocsi performing at the event. 30th Great Debrecen Record Fair

In keeping with good tradition, there will be music from all genres and styles. Collectors will be able to buy vinyl records, CDs and audio cassettes. Pop, rock, jazz, disco, classical music and a whole range of music styles will be available. Debrecen’s First Elegant Motorcycle Parade

Debrecen Motodrom Szoboszlói út 50, Debrecen, Hungary

Debrecen will host its first Debrecen Gentleman's Ride on 18 May. The stylish, elegant motorcycle parade aims to raise awareness of the importance of men's health. Inspired by the world-renowned Distinguished Gentleman's Ride event, the event is not only a motorcycle event, but also a social cause: participants will ride their bikes in elegant, classic attire to promote awareness of men's mental and physical health. Men's health issues, particularly prostate cancer and mental health challenges, are often taboo subjects. The Gentleman's Ride aims to raise awareness of these issues in a stylish and positive way, while creating a community experience for participants and spectators. On Sunday morning at 10.00 a.m., all participants are expected to arrive in front of the Debrecen Motodrom (50 Szoboszlói Road).The organisers also ask that participants wear elegant, classic attire. Georges Bizet’s Opera, Carmen at the Csokonai Theatre

150 years ago, on 3 March, Bizet's opera Carmen was premiered. On 7 March, just a few days apart from the anniversary, the Csokonai Theatre in Debrecen also staged the everlasting story. The performance is directed by Kossuth Prize-winning dance artist Tamás Juronics. Castle Garden Evenings

On the event estate of the “Forgotten Castle” 12 themed Friday evenings will be offered where families can spend their leisure time in the pleasant shade of the castle. From 23 May to 29 August, 12 Friday evenings in the castle’s garden, with different themes, are open to children and adults alike from 5:00 p.m.  to 10:00 p.m. The theme nights will be published continuously and each night will have its own Facebook event.
