With the arrival of the new year, on the second Saturday of January, two fresh formations from Debrecen will take over Desz24 (primarily an underground theatre space). Admission to the unusual indie rock and experimental art pop/rap evening is free, but there will also be a charity box on site if anyone thinks they would like to support the program or the performers. The indie rock trio Attic Attempt released their first EP last summer.  3colors is a solo project, which is mostly characterised by experimental, often noisy electronics and modern pop and rap influences mixed with surreal English and Hungarian lyrics.  The concert starts at 7.00 p.m. on Saturday in the basement of Desz24. The audience is invited to Luca Balduccio's evening, where they can experience the authentic Italian way of life with Luca.  The usual great atmosphere comes in a new guise to the Great Hall of the DEMKI Youth House. This time, the background is provided also by Bence Széll, who is known for touring Italy on his bike, taking breathtaking pictures and videos. ​​The event is free to attend, but as places are limited, registration is required and can be done by following the link below. The inescapable figures of Hungarian electronic dance music will take turns behind the DJ booth for a whole evening at Spontán Bar on the 18th of January. Everything from deep dubstep to acid, UK garage, breakbeat and jungle can be enjoyed at this concert. The concert of Tamás Kovács Band offers a different atmosphere: this time they will play at one of their favorite places, the Incognito Club, also this Saturday. As well as on the 18th of January from 7.00 p.m Deeprecen's next event awaits the audience at Desz24. Three bands are performing there. The music of the Szeged five-piece, The Void, formed in 2006, takes visitors  to a special world. Androids Do Dream is a metal music project based on analog keyboards formed in 2021. The third band is Memorat, formed in Debrecen in 2022, which is basically closest to the post-hardcore genre. The National Philharmonic Orchestra will come to Debrecen on the 18th of January as part of the Philharmonia Hungary season at the Debrecen Reformed University Church. Known for its unique solutions and idioms, it's a bohemian, personal, and dignified concert that explores new waters and explores new musical forms. The Last Dream of the Virgin, a colorful and emotionally transcendent piece by Massenet, is performed in the second half of the concert. Originally an introduction to the Virgin Mary legend, it depicts the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and serves as a prelude to heaven. Schoenberg's Glorious Ego features strings and a poem by Richard Dehmel, depicting a passionate couple resolving issues like betrayal, childbirth, and repentance.
