Berhidi Mária Life-work exhibition entitled “Remembering the Present” has been shortlisted for the AICA Prize.
The award, established by the Hungarian Section of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA), is given in the categories “Best Criticism”, “Best Solo Exhibition” and “Best Curatorial Project”, as nominated by the membership.
The AICA Awards, chosen at random by a jury of the organisation’s members, honour the most outstanding writing produced during 2024, as well as significant individual and curatorial exhibitions.
Its primary goal is to bring back to the art institutional system an award issued on a democratic basis by a specifically professional committee.
Among Modem 2024’s exhibitions, “Remembering the Present” Berhidi Mária Life-work exhibition (curated by Szabolcs Süli-Zakar and Gábor Andrási) is among the nominees for Best Solo Exhibition.
The exhibition was on view at the Centre for Modern and Contemporary Art from the 20th of July to the 10th of November last year.
