The population of the settlement, and thus the number of house constructions, is constantly growing, which justifies the development of transport. As part of the 250 million forint investment, three heavily trafficked dirt roads will receive solid pavement, but specialists will also lay sidewalks, among other things. According to plans, the modernization will be completed by May.

Bocskaikert has a growing population of over 4,000 people, but only 11 of its 32 streets have solid asphalt pavement, so it has become particularly important to ensure that as many roads as possible are properly surfaced.

“There are at least 30 construction sites a year and the roads are also extremely busy with lorries and vehicles delivering building materials, and their condition is deteriorating. If they are asphalted, the quality of life of the people living here will be much more comfortable and much better,” Mayor Sándor Szőllős said.

This time, three streets will be paved.

There are busy but narrow streets between Debreceni Road and Pillangó Road so they will be developed under the TOP Plus programme. The Németh László Road and Fazekas Mihály Road  will be paved for 373 metres and the Gulyás Pál Road or 363 metres.

“We want to create comfortable conditions not only for those moving here, but also for those living here, of course, and for young people, for whom a leap to Debrecen is only a step away in terms of education, other services or jobs,” Member of Parliament, Tasó László exploined.

The project will see the construction of a total of 1109 metres of solid pavement with associated road embankments and the development of an appropriate drainage system. The development is being carried out with almost HUF 250 million of EU and state funding and is expected to be completed by May.
