The memorial exhibition is being held in honor of the 100th anniversary of establishing the Transcarpathian Reformed Church District.

The public is invited to the opening of the exhibition “Treasures of our Reformed Heritage – Transcarpathia” on Saturday, 9th of March 2023. The exhibition will present the past and present of the reformed churches of Bene, Hust, and Palágykomoróc.

A commemorative meeting will follow the event in the conference room of the Debrecen Reformed College Museum from 11 a.m.

The Bishop of the Reformed Diocese of Tiszántúli Károly Fekete will give a spiritual greeting. István Szabadi, deputy director of the Public Collections of the TTRE, will present a historical overview of the history of Transcarpathia. Sándor Zán Fábián, Bishop of the Transcarpathian Reformed Diocese, will give a lecture on the theme of the holidays and everyday life of Transcarpathia in the past and today.

The opening of the chamber exhibition will take place at 11:30 a.m.

Emőké P. Szalay, museologist of the Museum of the Reformed College of Debrecen, will discuss the topic of “Congregational excavations in Transcarpathia,” and Barnabás Kész, professor of the Ferenc Rákóczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian College, will discuss the topic of “The heritage of Transcarpathia in books.”
