Debrecen institutions are preparing for the Night of the Museums together this year, and coordinating their programs. The Night of Museums programme series offers a lot of interesting and fascinating events, activities on the 22nd of June.

VOJTINA PUPPET THEATRE (1 Kossuth Street)
On the Night of Museums, the exhibition Vojtina World Centre, which can be visited at 1 Kossuth Street, will take visitors into the unique world of a unique puppet legacy, the heritage of the Korngut-Kemény family. “I want to play, play, play!” The statement and enthusiasm of the world-famous puppeteer and puppeteer László Vitéz Henrik Kemény could be the symbolic motto of the exhibition, as the objects of his legacy, the brown puppet suitcase, the blue cape in which the puppets were made, the giant puppets or the relics of the Ligeti booth are all the imprints of an era, will offer a glimpse into a period of the life of a master dedicated to puppetry between 10.00 p.m. and midnight.

HUNGARIAN DEFENCE FORCES Bocskai István 11. Armoured Hajdú Brigade, (AranybikaHotel)
The tradition-preserving section of the Debrecen Organisation of the Friendship Circle of the Armed Forces and Society, led by Captain Péter Halmai, will present World War I and II deactivated weapons and uniforms, and a military pass point at the entrance.
Under the title Past and Present,the exhibition of the legacy of Major, Major Paratrooper, Posthumous Lieutenant Colonel, Bertalan Árpád Vitéz, and the presentation of the current technical equipment of the 2nd Bornemissza Gergely Reconnaissance Regiment of the Hungarian Defence Forces can be seen.
150 years of the SMS Leitha monitor: a joint exhibition of the TIT Association for Maritime History, Modelling and Heritage, and the 1st Firefighting and River Patrol Regiment of the Hungarian Defence Forces

SMALL REFORMED CHURCH (2 Révész Square)
Bird’s eye view of Debrecen. The tower of the church houses not only the bell and the clock tower, but also a fire observation room, which has become a special attraction of the church. The tower can be visited continuously on this night in small groups, alternating every half hour. Built nearly 300 years ago, the tower has now been converted into a bastion-like structure and offers a magnificent panorama.
Secrets of the ”Trunken Church”. Guided tour by art historian Dániel Veress
Silver treasures in the Small Reformed Church. A guided tour of the works of the Debrecen Jewellery Guild between 1631 and 1765 by ethnographer Emőke P. Szalay.
What is hidden in the organ of the”Trunken Church”? Organ demonstration and mini-concert. The organist-cantor of the Small Reformed Church Dániel Sárosi will talk about the history and the tricks of organ making and give an interactive demonstration of the instrument, including organ works from different periods of music history.

JEWISH QUARTER IN DEBRECEN
Pásti Utcai Orthodox Synagogue and its courtyard (open between 10.00 p.m. and 12.30 a.m. due to Shabbat)
In the Synagogue Gallery you can see the exhibition titled Burning Sacrifice and the works of the 2nd Debrecen Jewish Quarter Artists’ Camp
In connection with the national theme, the following programmes are offered:
10.10 p.m. Gunya and the others: opening of the exhibition on Jewish athletes related to Debrecen. Essayist and curator of the exhibition, folklorist Zsolt Heller will open the exhibition and read from his poems.

Tickets for the Night of the Museums in Debrecen are available for children aged 6-14 for HUF 1,000, and for children aged 15 and over for HUF 2,500. Children under the age of 6 can visit the programs for free.
