The legal regulation of the music industry, influencers in the music industry, and financial planning, among others, will be the subjects that music management students will study.

The course, launched in cooperation between the Faculty of Economics and the Institute of Popular Music, will also involve professional organisations such as the Hungarian Music Managers’ Association.

It was stated at the briefing that the music industry is changing rapidly these days, and only knowledge acquired organised can remain competitive.

“Specialized knowledge is gaining more and more importance, and it is no longer enough for someone to have general economic or general management knowledge; the speciality in the field is fundamental, and not everyone has the opportunity to acquire this through experience,” Chancellor of the University of Debrecen, Zoltán Bács emphasised.

“At the right time, in the right place, with good content,” the secret to success was also stated at the press conference presenting the University of Debrecen’s newest master’s degree program, the music management program.
