ADIX-Trade Ltd. held a professional day in Debrecen
The event presented the latest achievements of drive technology, maintenance, and occupational safety manufacturers. According to Deputy Mayor Lajos Barcsa, this event also proves that it is possible to start an innovative and responsible company from Debrecen.
The market-leading brands presented their latest developments at exhibition stands on the so-called ADIX Day. The professional day of ADIX-Trade Ltd. created a connection between large companies and small and medium-sized enterprises. “We do not only want to sell bearings, but also fundamentally a solution to the given problem, but for that we also need to be in contact with the end users. So such a professional day is especially good for meeting the end users, where the need appears, with those people, with those problems,” Partner Manager of Schaeffler Debrecen Ltd. Attila Nagy said.
Small and medium-sized enterprises can stand their ground in the active economic environment typical of Debrecen. This was the topic of the county president of the National Association of Entrepreneurs and Employers in his welcoming speech. Károly Balogh emphasised that ADIX is a good example of how SMEs in the “Cívis” city can also be pioneers in innovation. “ I think that Debrecen now has the opportunity for this, and it is also a good example of how to build cross-border relations and how to expand our economic region and Debrecen’s development opportunities a little by abolishing the Schengen borders,” President of the Hajdú-Bihar County Organisation of the National Association of VOSZ Károly Balogh emphasised.
According to Deputy Mayor Lajos Barcsa, there is a kind of investment boom in Debrecen, which has not only benefited multinational companies, since the role of SMEs in the local economy has not decreased. “Debrecen’s small and medium-sized enterprises account for 41 percent of employment, 38 percent of sales revenue, and 33 percent of added value. Behind these are families, professional communities, and local values, which definitely deserve the support of the city of Debrecen,” Deputy Mayor Lajos Barcsa pointed out. The Deputy Mayor drew attention to the fact that the city creates many development opportunities for Debrecen’s small and medium-sized enterprises.
These include, in addition to the free training courses of EDC, the establishment of the SME industrial park, or the Vision Expo (in Hungarian Jövőkép Expo), where companies can contact young professionals.
