Changes to Traffic Order on 14 and 15 March 2026

In order to ensure the smooth running of the torchlight procession held in Debrecen on the eve of the anniversary of the 1848 Revolution, as well as the events taking place on the public holiday itself, the following temporary traffic arrangements will be in force on 14 and 15 March 2026.

14 March 2026:

Between 18:00 and 18:45, tram services will operate at reduced speed on the section between Rózsa Street and Kálvin Square (in front of the Memorial Garden) while the torchlight procession passes through.

15 March 2026:

Between 08:00 and 17:00, ten parking spaces will be closed on Füvészkert Street on the section between Perényi Street and Múzeum Street.

Between 10:30 and 11:30, all motor vehicle traffic and parking will be prohibited at Petőfi Square and on the section of Piac Street between Holló János Street and Kossuth Street. Cross traffic will be halted until the procession has passed. The procession will be escorted by the police.

Between 10:30 and 11:30, tram services between Petőfi Square and Kossuth Square will be suspended until the procession has passed.

Between 11:30 and 13:00, tram services between Petőfi Square and Kossuth Square will operate at reduced speed.
