Cooperation in Debrecen is exemplary

The units are continuously working on repairing the damage after the storm. More than 700 alerts were received from Debrecen alone by the Hajdú-Bihar County Disaster Management Directorate.

Mayor László Papp also thanked them for their work on his Facebook page.

“In addition to the disaster management, police, ambulances, electricity supply specialists and office staff, more than 60 people are working on behalf of the city today, just like yesterday, to eliminate the consequences of the storm. Wind gusts of 130 km/h caused significant damage: the clearing of broken branches and fallen trees, as well as the repair of damaged and downed wires, is currently underway,” the mayor of Debrecen wrote in his post.

He added, “I would like to thank all Debrecen residents, companies, and businesses for their helpful work in the damage relief.”
