Cranes activities to be carried out on Hunyadi Street with closures to expect

On behalf of Debreceni Hőszolgáltató Zrt. (Debrecen Heating Supply Company), DH-Szerviz Kft., which was entrusted with the implementation of the activity, is carrying out work involving cranes to remove the cooling tower elements located on the roof structure of the Kölcsey Center building complex on Hunyadi Street and to install new liquid cooling equipment due to modernization works.

The part of the city affected by the work is the sidewalk, bus lane, and a section of the outer traffic lane on the Hunyadi Street side of the Kölcsey Center building.

The location of the lifting machine and transport machine in the affected area means a partial restriction on the use of the sidewalk, bicycle lane, bus lane, and outer traffic lane next to the Kölcsey Center.

During the works, the outer traffic lane in front of the Kölcsey Center on Hunyadi Street, the bus lane (bus stop), and the affected section of the sidewalk will be closed. The internal traffic lane will remain for vehicles. Instead of the closed bus stop, a temporary bus stop will be designated on Hunyadi Street in front of the building at 9 Darabos Street. Due to the safe transfer of passengers, cyclists will be prohibited on this section. During the crane works, the sidewalk area in front of the Kölcsey Center will be closed with a solid barrier.

Time schedule of the construction:

The crane works are expected to last from 8:30 a.m. on 12 September 2025 until 6:00 p.m. on 13 September 2025.

The crane activity will not cause any interruption of service. The work may cause noise during the day. The contractor asks for the patience and understanding of the residents and road users in the area.
