Diversion being reconstructed on the Debrecen bypass section of the M35 motorway

According to the Hungarian Concession Infrastructure Development Ltd. (MKIF), as of June 25, 2025, the traffic diversion on the M35 motorway bypass section near Debrecen will be reconstructed.

Expected closures:

– On the M35 motorway toward the M3, the collector-distributor lane next to the main way will be closed between kilometres 2 and 4.

– It will not be possible to enter the M35 motorway toward the M3 from Route 33 (though exiting will still be allowed).

– At the Route 354 junction on the M35 toward the M3, it will not be possible to exit toward the BMW Group Plant or Hajdúhadház.

– Entry to the M35 toward the M3 from Route 354 will also be restricted.

During the closure, traffic will be diverted as follows:

– From Berettyóújfalu toward Nyíregyháza: M35 toward M3 → U-turn at Józsa junction → M35 toward the national border → collector-distributor lane → exit to Route 354 toward Nyíregyháza.

– From Nyíregyháza toward Budapest: Route 354 toward BMW Group Plant → BMW körút → M35 Józsa junction → M35 toward M3.

– From Kishegyesi Street toward Budapest: M35 collector-distributor lane toward M3 → exit at Route 33 junction → Route 33 → BMW Gate II → BMW körút → M35 Józsa junction → M35 toward M3.

– From Route 33 toward Budapest: Route 33 → BMW Gate II → BMW körút → M35 Józsa junction → M35 toward M3.

– BMW Gate II toward Budapest: BMW körút → M35 Józsa junction → M35 toward M3.

According to MKIF, closures are expected to remain in place until July 29.

These dates are subject to change depending on weather, logistics, and other external factors. Drivers can get informed through Útinform, the company’s website, and its Facebook page.
