Within the quaint walls of the Forgotten Castle, the bustling, colorful world of the Middle Ages comes alive. Armored warriors clash with ringing steel, muskets thunder and fill the air with smoke, and traveling nobles share tales of honor, intrigue, and distant lands. From the legendary court of King Matthias to the mysterious allure of the fabled East, the castle courtyard transforms into a vibrant medieval fairground where past and present meet.
Throughout the day, guests can witness spectacular historical reenactments: long-distance medieval combat demonstrations, honorable duels between armored knights, the roar of muskets and cannons, and even a squire battle where the next generation of warriors proves its skill. These dynamic performances bring the realities of medieval life thrillingly close.
Between shows, visitors are encouraged to become part of the era themselves. They can handle authentic weapons and armor, try their hand at archery, pose for memorable photographs, or join historical board games at the nobles’ table. The scents of spiced coffee and eastern aromas drift from a Turkish merchant’s tent, while the camp kitchen offers hearty medieval flavors and curious displays of historical medicine.
Tickets are available in advance online starting January 30.
