About the Play

Milkwhite the kitten discovers a dreamlike world of dust bunnies—creatures balancing between imagination and reality. The ballet blends classical and contemporary dance with fairytale magic, exploring themes of friendship, loneliness, guilt, and courage for audiences of all ages.

Originally written for a Japanese fairytale competition, where it won first prize in 2014, the story later became a published book enriched with illustrations honoring the author’s grandparents. Written and illustrated by Kitti Csőke, the tale has since reached audiences in Japan through exhibitions, festivals, and children’s programs. In 2025, it was released as an audiobook, and the author presented her works at the World Expo in Osaka.
