Theoretical GalleryThe exhibition will appeal not only to lovers of fine art, but also to enthusiasts of music and dance at its festive opening.
Two graphic artists, Ferenc Kása and Dávid Kovács, will open a joint exhibition on the second Sunday of Advent at the Theoretical Gallery of the University of Debrecen.
Cultural life in Debrecen does not pause in winter—on the contrary, another high‑quality art event awaits visitors in the heart of the Great Forest.
Entitled “On the Road”, the exhibition guides audiences into the world of classical printmaking, engravings, and etchings. The works of the two artists promise an exciting dialogue on the walls: structured, architectural depictions alongside more abstract, expressive forms.
Hosted in the Theoretical Gallery in the Aula of the University’s Theoretical Block, the venue has long been a key meeting point for the city’s and the university’s cultural life.
The opening, scheduled for Sunday, December 7 at 11 a.m., will be a true multidisciplinary experience. The exhibition will be introduced by István Tamus, a respected Debrecen graphic artist and president of GADE (Ajtósi Dürer Association of Graphic Artists).
To enrich the visuals, the organizers have woven music and movement into the program: the atmosphere will be set by Zsanett Balogh’s violin performance, while dancers of the Debrecen Honvéd Dance Ensemble, together with Hunor Kása and Döme Menyhért, will complete the experience.
The exhibition “On the Road” will remain freely accessible until January 30, 2026, at 98 Nagyerdei Blvd., during opening hours.
The organizers invite everyone to step into this journey of images, sounds, and movement—an experience that promises to brighten the winter season.
